Big Adventures: Mawwage

I find it interesting that my last entry here was about the big step I took in moving west, and that it essentially ended with the following words: “An incredible amount of stress, disappointment, and boredom can be entirely worth it when you’re in the right place with the entirely-right person."

One month ago, to the day, I married that entirely-right person.

So I guess it worked out!

A few months after that entry we found an apartment, and I found active employment. I worked another (my last) summer with iD. In November of 2015 I started work as Studio Coordinator with a tech education studio in Santa Monica. The work is challenging and calls on a lot of my particular weird set of skills, so I’ve been quite happy in my role here for over a year now.

I’d like to go back to the Casey of, perhaps, 2010—who I think had written off a lot of what I have in my life now as unrealistically idealistic and ultimately unreachable. I’d like to give her just a little nudge and the sense that there are good things ahead.

Thoughts on my honeymoon are what actually drove me back to the blog today, but I think I will save that for later.
